1. I expected poor service after reading review after review complaining about it, but starting with the bellboy who offered to direct me the minute I stepped out of the taxi on arrival nearly every encounter I had with staff in every venue--front desk, pool, bar, beach, restaurants, housekeeping--was pleasant.

2. The hotel staff, including our front desk, valet, pool attendants and housekeeping, were amazingly friendly and always acknowledged us with a 'good morning' or 'are you enjoying your stay?'.

6. I always stay in a regular room, as I do not care too much about the size of the room, as long as it is clean - and as for my experience, I did not have issues with housekeeping in all these stays, except for late service, but I am not too fuzzy about that.
