1. We also had a little problem with the elevator, but they were very apologetic and surprised us with a nice gift basket in our room, and also didn't charge us (the ridiculous) $3/day fee to use the in-room safe.

2. Also, the hotel is right across from Kuhio Beach Park, where a hawaiian music and dancing show is performed free of charge Tuesday through Sunday from 6-7pm.

3. It's hard to justify the prices that the hotels charge in Waikiki - your Sheration's, Marriott's etc are stark rooms with a ridiculous price tag, so we chose the 3 1/2 star Pacific Beach Hotel - right across the road from the beach, close to everthing.

4. The 'spa' is kind of sad - sorely out of date, nothing matches, it's a hotch potch of chairs and old magazines, yet they charge top dollar - give it a miss.

5. I was even discourage when i found out that you not only charge $10 for internet but also you dont provide WIFI.
