1. We had the family suite which is great if your kids are older and want a bit of space away from mom and dad (yay!).

3. I would suggest that if you are picky about toiletries, definitely bring your own because what you will get at the HH is standard issue bar soap that's probably better suited for washing clothes than putting on your skin.

Rooms are old and outdated elevators are slow but good quality for the price ac was bad the first 2 nights but good the second two we only reserved a basic room to sleep 5 but ended up with a suite with 2 queens and a KING!rooms could be updated hotel can use a facelift and a good remodeling but it beats 1,000+ per night in the heart of dc.
