Parking is not free, but there is free
street
parking -- on the weekends -- directly in front of the hotel and the doorman at the hotel was the person who pointed that out to us.

However, we parked on the
street
for free the first 3 nights (weekends are not metered) and we found cheaper overnight parking in another lot across the
street
(Viriginia Avenue) the rest of the time.
