1. The location was excellent in Foggy Bottom, a trendy area close to GW University with a small grocery store next door (FOBOGRO) and within walking distance of bars, restaurants and the Metro.

3. The hotel is in a great spot for city sight-seeing & because it is in the centre of a college district, it seems pretty safe after dark & has a few good bars close handy.

4. A plethora of restaurants & bars are a longer walk or better yet, take the closet metro (Foggy Bottom) to Georgetown for a happenin scene.

5. Walk up 4 blocks to I Street and 20th street and go to Lindy's Red Lion, a very small neighborhood college bar wtih a great hamburger menu and other things with good prices.

9. Now to be fair, i did not ask if they had a room with grab bars in the bathroom, but in 2011 in a hotel where we were paying WELL over 200 dollars a night, i didn't think i had to.
