1. so, be careful, double check everything when you book, or pay, otherwise the hotel seems to like your money more then you think.

2. As stated in other reviews, there are a lot of homeless people near the Hotel, having said that, this probably applies anywhere in Washington Likes- Value for money- Comfortable, well appointed rooms- Small Kitchenettes - Friendly staff- Location to WashingtonDislikes- No Wifi available at the time of our stay.

5. DON'T drive a car here; literally EVERYBODY we saw in the lobby was someone who had a car and was having HUGE issues because of it (the hotel parking was full / the valet jammed the house key into the ignition and broke it / the car which was temporarily parked outside had been towed, etc) So if you're using public transport (nearest Metro stop about 3 blocks away) and are ambulatory, the State Plaza hotel is a good option for the money.

9. com did their part to persuade the hotel to refund the money, which obviously did not belong to them, but it was all useless.

10. we contacted the hotel to see what has possibly happened and they said they charged for 'no show'!we then sent them the bill we had from them, clearly proving that the person stayed there and paid for his stay, but it was all useless, they had already made their mind, that they will keep the money.
