1. We asked people who drove by on the street to help (but of course no one is friendly in DC) and so we had to beg a taxi sitting out front that clearly had a relationship with the hotel and ALSO pay him $20 to help us jump the car.

5. The staff are lovely--service is old-fashioned wonderful, Its super clean, very comfortable, even the street facing rooms are insulated enough to support a good rest, and the environment is safe and friendly.
