And when we checked out, to go to the George (another Kimpton hotel in a different neighborhood), Tina Nguyen called ahead to make sure our room would be ready for an early check in, and asked them to VIP us--their response was a bottle of wine, a fruit and cheese platter, and a welcoming note form the George's hopitality manager.

Many nice touches, especially for the female traveler: handwritten welcome note from the manager delivered to the room after check-in, make-up mirror in bathroom, coffee available in lounge each morning, lemon water available in entry way all day, small workout room in basement that included lighter free weights and exercise balls.
