1. When we arrived we got there about 1:30pm and the lobby was crowded as a lot of tourists had just came off a cruise ship and it was chaos in the lobby, obviously our room wasn't ready my only complaint is we where told we would be called and it was pretty obvious this wouldn't happen due to the fact staff started dealing with customers who arrived after 3pm, so I had to get in line again and had to complain as quite a few older customers thought their age excused them the need to queue, we got in our room a little after 4pm we got room 1509 and it had a great view of the mountains, overall our checkin experience was not great but not actual staff's fault as their was no way this hotel seemed prepared for such a large influx of guests, also if we hadn't already stayed at hotel we wouldn't have been aware of the free internet or the free coffee as it wasn't mentioned at checkinWe used the laundry room in our 10 day stay and it was okay the staff where helpful, we never ate at hotel although breakfast buffet was still $4.95 each and dinner buffet was $13.
2. It does offer free breakfast but we were only able to take advantage of it one out of three mornings as we had to leave the hotel before 7:00 for various excursions.
3. Free daily breakfast -- but you won't want to eat there more than once.
4. Since we arrived early, they also gave us two free breakfasts for staying one night.
5. The free breakfast had few healthy options - pancakes, sweet dessert things, sugared cereals, very limited fruit selection and the slowest toaster on the planet.
6. Free coffee all day in the lobby, free breakfast - eggs every other day, free newspaper, free towels.
7. Two blocks away from the beach, King's Village and Shopping-Clean and quiet (requested to have room to be higher level, away from elevators)-Free breakfast that's pretty decent-Good, quick and nice service-If you are renting a car, its nice because there's free parking half a block away along the canal (or else its 20 bucks to park underground)-The plates/microwave/utensils/fridge etc is huge help.
8. Breakfast - Our room came with the free breakfast which was adequate.
9. We also received a free breakfast everyday.
10. Free breakfast every morning, smoking area with table & chairs , big screen tv just outside the building.
11. Breakfast is free, but uninspired.
12. Breakfast was ok and good free wifi access in foyer!if you want to save your money for the fun things stay here.
13. Super location, free hi-speed internet and free breakfast as well.
14. The breakfast is free of charge, but not recommendable.

16. You can't beat the rates and the free breakfast.
17. They include free continetal breakfast, newspaper, high-speed internet, mini refrigerator, coffeemaker and a 20' LCD tv.
18. Free breakfast is served in the lobby each day, again fairly basic, but exactly what we were looking for; a good selection of breads, eggs, fruits, juices, and coffee.
19. I also used them for my first trip to Hawaii in 2009; the free breakfast was the bonus.
20. Pros:Good ratesClean roomsMicrowave, fridge, and coffe maker in roomsFriendly staffFast free internet connectionComplimentary beach chairs and towelsGreat location in Waikiki: close to the Ala Wai canal, beach, shops, and transportationCons:Awful breakfast and the cafeteria closes at 8:30Small pool if you consider the hotel has 16 floorsLimited parkingThe moderate rooms are very small: they don't have a desk, the only place to sit inside the room is on the bed (it's usually too windy in the balcony).
21. Free continental breakfast, but the selection is terrible.
22. Breakfast was simple but free.
23. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; free breakfast included pancakes and fruit - not your usual Continental breakfast of bagel and coffee.
24. The free breakfast was great too - only suggestion I have (actually it's my husband's) would be to rotate waffles in for the pancakes every other day.
25. They also include a free breakfast in the hotel every day and a free Mangers reception with drinks on Tuesday afternoon.
26. I really enjoyed the free breakfast in the mornings and the free beach towel service.
27. If you book directly with the hotel, you get free breakfast - Breakfast included fresh pancakes, breads, oatmeal, and a good variety of cakes with of course the regular tea and coffee.
28. And free breakfast is bad, they do not serve real milk or juice.
29. I wasn't keen on having to bus my own table after breakfast but eh, it's free food.
30. Also, the free continental breakfast was an added bonus.
31. We were also unaware that the free continental breakfast was no longer being provided to guests who do not book their rooms directly with the hotel.
32. Free breakfast in the mornings and free internet.
33. I forgot about the free breakfast.
34. There is a free coffee machine that brews good, fresh, individual cups in the lobby next to the breakfast room, all day.
35. In the morning there is a free Continental style breakfast with fresh-made pancakes, toast, muffins, cake, oatmeal porridge, fresh fruit and a variety of beverages.
36. Fast free internet (much faster than the paid internet at the Hyatt down the street), free continental breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, close to the main shopping area and 5-10 minutes walk from the beach.
37. The staff are all brilliant and helpful, rooms are small but spotless, beds are sooo comfy and yes the continental breakfast is full of carbs but it is free and totally satisfying.
38. The free continental breakfast was surprisingly good and the rooms are pretty spacious and clean.
39. The staff are helpful and friendly and there are perks such as a continental breakfast, entertainment and free cocktails on Tuesdays, no charge local calls, and beach towels.
40. The free breakfast was a treat.
41. There is a little 'cafe' open certain hoursI will definatly stay here again, simply because of the price, the free breakfast and wifi.
42. The free internet connection, breakfast, coffee and fruit was great as was the manager's cocktail reception including chair massages and a ukulele player.
43. The staff and service was excellent, and the hotel offered many amenities that larger chain hotels did not, including a daily complimentary continental breakfast (my dad loved the hotcakes and fresh pineapple), a manager's reception on Tuesday with complimentary cocktails & music, free beach towels check outs, free wired internet, and lovely body wash, shampoo & conditioner, and lotion (something most hotels cost-cut, but not at the Aloha Surf).
44. The hotel itself was very nice upon entry and the free breakfast was a selling point for us too.
45. But after a 40 point turn we managed to get in :)Breakfast was also complementary and I quite enjoyed the pancakes :) Internet was available for free, where the room connection was wired but WIFI was available in the lobby.
46. We only went to the 'free breakfast' twice during the 12 days, as we're not massive fans of the things that were available for the breakfast - toast (but the only condiment being cream cheese), pancakes, and then pineapple pieces, mini muffins & mini donuts.
47. This free breakfast is only available between 7am and 8.30am.
48. My package included free internet (wired @room, free wifi @lobby) & continental breakfast - considering that some hotels (especially most of 5 stars) charge USD 20 + per day for internet & same for breakfast, you can save more than USD 40 + for extra.
49. Beds were fine and I liked the fact that there was a small fridge in the room and especially the FREE breakfast.
50. I was very impressed that there was a hotel near Waikiki that offered free breakfast - that was a major plus for someone who is on a budget.
51. Pancakes made fresh while you wait, toast, juice oatmeal, donuts, coffee, fresh fruit and a smiling staff and a free Honolulu newspaper to read, much more than i expected, saved us about 20.00 a day for breakfast.
52. The food is great considering most hotels don't offer free breakfast.
53. The hotel has a free breakfast from 7-830am (I think that's the times).
54. The free breakfast is hit or miss.
55. The free continental breakfast was great too.
56. But this is one of the very few hotels in Waikiki Beach with free breakfast and free wifi - and the prices to stay are a real bargain.
57. The Free Breakfast was an awesome.
58. Free breakfast (we enjoyed every morning) and free high speed internet (we didn't have time to use the internet).
59. We also enjoyed the free breakfast every day.
60. The free breakfast was much appreciated, yes it does finish at 8.30 so we needed to be organised but were happy with that.
61. It's only a 5 minute walk from the Waikiki beach and serves a fairly decent free breakfast.
62. com so I suppose since we had already paid they stuck us with the crumby roomsPros: great free breakfast (but it ended at 8:30 so you better be an early riser & you can't take food to your room) The location was relatively nice, only a couple of blocks to the beach but there were so many sirens I felt like I was staying in New York City.
63. - The free breakfast buffet is between 7 to 8.30am, sharp.
64. The only plus about this place was the free breakfast and nice reception area but unfortunately you cannot sleep in either of these areas.
65. The free breakfast was decent, muffins, fruit, toast, oatmeal, pancakes, tea and coffee.
66. The free breakfast is only carbs, juice, donuts and pan cakes, basically a waste of time, there is a McDonalds within walking distance.
67. The was a free ice maker and ATM in the lobby as well as complimentary daily newspaper The free breakfast was acceptable including fresh made pancakes, toast, pineapple, oranges juice, cerial, coffee.
68. Breakfast was included, it was not much to write home about if you don't eat donuts or muffins for breakfast, but free is free.
69. They have great rates, great staffs, free continental breakfast ( which saves you money by not eating in a restaurant or fastfood every breakfast) which is also good.
70. Breakfast is included & couldn't beleive how nice it was, pancakes, toast, muffins etc. Pool & common area is great as you get free wifi & if you take your laptop you have free internet access in your room.
71. They also have a free continental breakfast that saves you money by not eating breakfast in a restaurant or fast food chain.
72. Free breakfast (pancakes, toast, pastries, fruit) was pretty good and was saving me at least $15 every morning by Waikiki prices.
73. The complimentary breakfast included pancakes, muffins, toast, different fruits, juice, etc. It was a lot better than most free hotel breakfasts.
74. The hotel offers several amenities that you would find only in those much more expensive; i.e. free coffee in the lobby (as well as coffeemaker in the room) , microwave, complimentary breakfast, beautiful spa, cafe, restaurant, etc. The Manager's Reception is a nice plus and allowed us to meet some people from other parts of the world in a very relaxed setting.
75. adequate free breakfast.
76. The free breakfast was convenient albeit there's no real place to sit and the hours are rather short.
77. Definately take advantage of their free breakfast too.
78. The hotel offers a free continental breakfast of apples, pineapple, toast, muffin, juice, and coffee.
79. Then once there, walk next door to the food pantry and buy some lunch stuff that you can make your lunch each day, and that way you get breakfast for free, pack a picnic lunch for the beach, and dinner will be the only meal you have to pay for.
80. Upon check-in the apples and the water are a welcome treat, the bar always had football on for me to check the scores of my Chicago Bears (Go Bears!), the free continental breakfast was swell, the free newspaper was a welcome treat to read at the beach daily, the room was small but cozy and very clean, the beds were comfy, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the beach and shopping and dining is all a quick walk away.
81. When I found an incredible deal for the Aloha Surf, centrally located near the beach, that included free high speed Internet and continental breakfast, I couldn't pass it up.
82. The free breakfast was fine - toast, fruit, oatmeal muffins.
83. Cons: the free breakfast was too crowded.
84. I have no complaints about a 'free' breakfast ever, it is quite basic but provides everything you would need to get your day started.
85. The internet was free (not wireless though) and the breakfast was okay (fruits and breads).
86. got free continental breakfast everyday and they store your luggage on the day you vacate.
87. Positives: Staff are nice, free continental breakfast (though we ended up going to Keoni's after the first day as another reviewer had recommended -- EXCELLENT place for breakfast and much more satisfying!), reasonable price, mini fridge and microwave are nice to have, very convenient to full grocery store and restaurants and shops, friendly front desk staff, free internet (they even loaned us a new cable at no charge when we forgot ours)Negatives: Not convenient walk to the beach when you have a child and are carrying things with you, bathroom needs updating, cramped quarters, bugs/cleanlinessAlso a note - while the front desk staff are nice, don't bother asking for advice from the Expedia Local Expert in the lobby.
88. Free breakfast is a starch-fest with pastries, bagels and bananas with juice and coffee.
89. Free continential breakfast was terrific and always plentiful which was a great bonus.
90. The continental breakfast did not afford a lot of options, but it was free and just enough to tide us over until lunch.
91. The free breakfast was nice in the mornings--we grabbed toast, bagels, croissants, bananas, etc to go in the mornings.
92. There were many complementary perks: delicious continental breakfast - muffins, buns, tropical fruit juice, coffee and four varieties of fresh fruit every morning; free daily paper; free in-room safe; free coffee for the in-room coffee maker; free Wireless in the lobby and pool area, and free high-speed connection in the room.
93. The free continental breakfast was a money saver plus we enjoyed meeting guests from all over the world.
94. The good:Reasonable price, mostly clean, friendly service, free internet and breakfast and okay location; It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the hotel offers free beach towel loans.
95. There are free breakfast boxes in the lobby and they often put out fresh fruit and goodies at the lobby counter.
96. Two other extras are the free broadband connection(hotels on the beach charge up to $20/day) and the free continental breakfast.
97. It was nice to have a pool and the free breakfast was a great way to start the day.
98. The free breakfast is not fancy, but we are not 'big breakfast' person at all, so, juice/banana/muffin is good enough to start a day.
99. This place has free refridgerator, microwave, bathrobes, flat screen, beach towels, in-room i'net, free cont'l breakfast and even a comp manager's cocktail party on Tues.
