1. I asked for a quiet room and got one, though it faced a brick wall maybe 2 feet from the window, ie, no noise but no view.

3. Don't stay at the Charlesmark if you're expecting large rooms with good views; however, it's in a GREAT location, and the service is excellent.

4. I will say not to expect a great view -- we had two rooms (explained below), and one was in the basement with no windows (that was fine with us, because it was a large room), and the other was on the 2nd floor, which had a window onto an airshaft.

5. We also stayed at the Harborside Inn - a sisterhotel of the Charlesmark - and would recommend that hotel - it was quiet, large rooms, nice views of the harbor - and half the price of the Charlesmark.
