1. Had a Pool view lanai suite - rather expensive for what it was.

3. (think stark white) Rooms on the city side would be a noisy drag with horrible view, and the rooms around the pool offer little privacy (reminded me of an LA garden apartment).

5. The last time I had such a bad view was when I stayed in a hotel in Barcelona that had bricked up the windows, (and no, I'm not making that up either!) In order to be able to see a few inches of sky,we had to press our faces up against the window and crick our necks up at an angle.

6. The hotel is beautiful; although I must say that having paid extra for the balcony ocean view was not quite worth as the view was not all that great, therefore I highly recommend that instead you pay for the package that includes breakfast.

9. My advice regarding room selection, make sure you get a balcony or lanai room, but dont waste money on a oceanview room, its not that great of a view, because how the hotel is built.
