1. I went to take a shower and stood in it freezing with ice cold water waiting for it to warm and to cold to flee.

8. --tell front desk to send security (who did arrive promptly, and knew enough to stay close by to deal w another disruption)--if you can't go back to sleep, listen to the drunks next door take their showers and argue since the noise comes through--wait 2hrs before you drift back to sleep--wake up irritable.
