1. When we got up to our room our shower was broken.

3. Our ceiling leaked, toilet ran loudly, the painted tiles were chipping in the shower (can we all say lead poisioning, I mean this a 50 year old hotel.

6. in general the quality of the light fittings in the room was rather cheap; (2) the CD player was old and malfunctioning, it would quit playing CDs after a couple tracks; (3) the toilet seat was coming off its hinges; (4) the shower floor was grungy and peeling paint; (5) wireless Internet access was very elusive due to very weak signal; and (6) even Hampton Inns have flat-panel TVs nowadays, so it is difficult to understand why a luxury property should have old-style CRT TVs; (7) The in-room service guide promises turn-down service, which we never received.

7. The shower didn't work and when we called to report the problem, it took the guy over 40 minutes to get to our room.

9. THE MANAGERS' COMMENT TO US WAS THAT WE COULD HAVE GONE OUTSIDE BY THE POOL TO SHOWER THE NIGHT BEFORE.

10. The rooms were tired and worn - I had to prop my shower head up with a wash cloth and screw together the bottom of my floor lamp so it wouldn't fall over.
