1. Her room was on ground level by a walkway, people could peek into her room, somebody was stumbling on her door overnight, constant rumbling of iron staircase - she could not sleep because of noise and the sensation that somebody will break in any moments.

4. The flooring (not carpet) due to the weather in Portland allows ALL the noises from the 3-4 rooms above the first floor rooms.

5. My only complaint would be road noise, but the hotel is in the city, so what would you expect? It is not bad, but you can be off-put if you are noise sensitive.

8. Not only are the walls very thin (we could hear the TV next door as well as entire conversations from people in their rooms on the floor below) but the air conditioners are loud and our room (234) appeared to be close to a generator or something which also made lots of noise.
