1. Tip #1: Don`t take a shuttle from the New Orleans airport to the French Quarter; the wait can be ridiculous (especially when a large convention is in town), and the savings are minimal.

2. Across the street is the Sheraton, from which shuttles depart to jazzfest every few minutes (for $18 per person) and one can buy tickets (for $85, which is more than the fix cost online, but still convenient).
