1. We had breakfast both morning in the restaurant there and the service was friendly, food was the coffee nice and hot.

The bedding was great (feather down comforter and pillows), the room was clean (checked for bedbugs), the customer service excellent (they were aware of these negative reviews), and the breakfast buffet fantastic (lots of hot, great-quality tasty foods (bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc) and great offerings of yogurt, homemade granola, fruit, pastries.

3. The food in the hotel was wonderful, and there was a Starbucks in the lobby which stopped by every morning before walking down to the stream.

5. There are plusses - the hotel has expansive grounds and backs right up to Boulder Creek, the food is good, the beds are comfortable and the linens are fine.

8. This hotel may be old but we found it well kept, wonderful linens, clean room, very friendly, pretty garden with a nice water fall with a surprise concert on friday night and good food.
