1. I see this idiotic construction in almost every hotel (why, why, why? I ask) --- so I put towels under the door to keep any hallway noise out.

7. We didn't take them up on the offer as we planned to spend so little time in the room (and we didn't) but be aware that the north side overlooks a large building site, two new resort hotels that have apparently been abanadoned mid-construction due to the economic downturn.

10. The south facing rooms have a better view of the strip, but can have nightclub noise, the north facing rooms view some construction and mountains, and are very quiet.
