While the lobby area was attractive and the staff very accommodating and pleasant, the
noise
from nearby traffic was most annoying.

The positive is that if you want to be close to the Waikiki strip and not pay a premium for the hotels on the actual strip and don't mind the
noise
, then it'd be ok.

Although we were on one of the higher floors, the street
noise
was still a bit loud and starts at a very early time (garbage trucks, busses, workers commuting to work in their cars and motorcycles).

We could hear the street
noise
but figured the wall A/C unit would drown out the sounds.

I requested a king bed on a high floor as a friend who had stayed there told me the street
noise
can be heard on lower floors facing the street.

I didn't like it here, the rooms were very small, poor location a few blocks away from the main street, lots of traffic
noise
, not particularly clean.

When we turned it back on the third night, we both agreed that the street

had disappeared and we slept well.

The a/c unit is sufficient but slightly noisy, however it creates a white
noise
to cancel out the traffic
noise
.
