This hotel seems
like
it was a seventies built Holiday Inn type hotel that Kimpton have tried to revamp.

I
liked
the accompanying Firefly restaurant where the food was definitely good, although prices a little high to use consistently.

And with some staff that's been there since the hotel opened about a decade ago, you can bet if you keep coming back, they'll keep welcoming you back
like
you're family.

It's much more
like
walking into the entrance hall of a close friend's house the way they welcome you in and pour wine during wine hour.

How did they know I
like
to do 15 miles on the bike now and then? :) The service staff were very friendly and responsive to questions; my request for a quiet room was taken seriously, and the room fit the bill.

The shower/toilet was tiny but I
liked
that the vanity and sink are in a separate area.
"Not as nice as other Kimpron's, but still fine and STELLAR customer service. "

The rooms are spacious - we
like
the double queen because it gives so much room.

I walked to the cleaners to get my closed fluff & folded (
like
I said it was hot and muggy and fresh clothes is a must), we would pop out for a quick snack and of course we had many meals in Firefly, the hotel restaurant.
