1. There are many police officers and security guards around, and the fire station and lifeguard stations are right next to the hotel.

7. The security guard tracked me down in my room to return it and management called to make sure everything was satisfactory.

8. Last time I was there, the telephone didn't work and the front desk and security guy were of absolutely no help in trying to get me a phone that would work (also never offered to let me switch rooms or give me a discount off the price of the room.
