4. The value wasn't what i would call exceptional at $200 dollars a night after taxes and parking were thrown in - but I think it was WELL worth it with the fantastic beachside location and the proximity to restaurants and nightlife.

6. The room was clean and updated, slightly unexpected after reading prior posts, with the exception of the outdated light teal bathroom (but it was very spacious and clean so we didn't mind).

7. The 'boardwalk' in front of the hotel is very nice and clean (except for occasional transients sleeping on the city sidewalk, no worries - plenty of police patrols around).

8. The best thing about the Hotel is the location as everything is in walking distance and we didn`t even use our rental car except once for a drive to LaJolla.

9. We had no trouble with beggars as was noted in some other reviews, I didn`t even see any while we were there except for one guy out on the street trying to beg for a beer from cars passing by.
