1. There were plenty of towels around, comfy beach chairs, and a hot tub.

2. There were surfboard lessons, board/bike rentals available, and even though the surf did come up certain times of the day, plenty of people enjoyed swimming.

3. Being right on the Boardwalk was handy since we had plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and he could navigate easily--even go sit on the beach easily.

4. Clean, pleasant pool and hot tub, and plenty of beach stuff to borrow.

6. There were plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance and other places of interest -- the Gaslamp district, the Zoo, etc.

7. Hotel itself is looking a bit faded, but they are upgrading some of the rooms (can be noisy), the beds are good and the complimentary breakfast is fresh and plentiful.

8. Pacific Beach is a student area with a lively nightlife and plenty of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, liquor stores and transit near by.

9. The bedroom with the two queens was quite spacious, and the couch in the living room pulled out to a queen sleeper, also with plenty of space to maneuver around it.
