It is walking distance five minutes or less to two grocery stores, Jack In The Box, Carl Jr's, a Japanese fast food restaurant, 2 mexican restaurants, a yogurt place, a big bookstore, good sportsbar restaurant,Starbucks, a cafe with good breakfast, Joes Crab Shack, Applebees and Dennys, a few other things as well Internet is fast in business room in lobby.

6. This is where we always choose to stay during ComicCon -- it may be in Mission Valley but the shuttle is fast and the hotel is much nicer than you can get elsewhere for the price.

7. We felt safe in the area, used parking across the street, and could amost walk over to the fast food and grocery stores in the area.

I stayed at the Doubletree Mission Valley for the second time during a business trip, and I can confirm the impression of most part of the other reviewers:- The hotel is conveniently located close to a trolley stop: my wife accompanied me and could not use the car, but she had the opportunity to move by, visiting Old Town and Downtown, in a fast and cheap way, without any need to take a taxi.
