4. The staff was super-helpful, gave us a free (unrequested) room upgrade to a roomy suite, had treats for the kids like a fishbowl with goldfish and chocolate eggs (it was Easter weekend), and generally did all the things like you'd ask from a really good hotel.

7. The Riverplace had just been bought from Larkspur by Kimpton when I stayed there and they hadn't yet implemented the good fish or yoga mats.
