1. Just stayed two nights at The Independent and found it exceptional.

2. They were able to move us and upgrade us to a bigger room so it wasn't so bad except the following day the bathroom lights was having mechanical issue.

5. The quality is OK, except maybe for the oversweet blueberry muffins, but there was a fundamental problem in that, despite this being sold as a double room, it only had one chair and no table.

7. I would give the hotel top ratings except for a few minor quibbles: 1) The shower was very small and I didn't see any shower caps in the toiletries on the sink so it was hard to keep my hair dry.
