1. Although the service was not good, and both room and hallway cleaning was neglected, it did have a good location close to the French Quarter, and the included breakfast was very good and plentiful.

2. There are plenty of other places to stay when visiting New Orleans, a lot that are newly remodeled, new carpet, nice bedding and also centrally located - so go ahead and stay at one of those other properties; this particular Holiday Inn property doesn't deserve your hard-earned money.
