Other things: Shower often took minutes to get warm and occasionally didn't heat at all; you could get coffee downstairs in the temporary welcome desk from six am - on Sunday morning I waited 35 minutes for the coffee to appear, being told 'it will be here soon' every five or ten minutes; finally and most annoyingly I paid $16.

8. Went straight to the front desk (a temporary welcome desk) where, to be fair, the staff were as appalled as I was and arranged to have the carpet shampooed, which it duly was.

9. I had a 3 night stay (Veterans Day weekend 2011) and I sincerely appreciate how efficiently the staff (particularly Erin, Tameka, and Staci) at the welcome Lounge accommodated my room request.
