5. OK, it's not as beautiful as the Upper Garden District, but if you like to walk, you can walk to the French Quarter, and there's no lack of charm in the surrounding neighborhood.

10. Maybe they were guests who like to walk and eat at the same time?? Since we hiked into town so many times, we tried several different routes and found that, within a few blocks, are a public housing building (St Charles at Lee Circle) and a homeless men's shelter (Camp St by St Patrick's Church).
