2. Beal Street is accessible via the trolley which stops right outside, but if you're really in town to see the sights you'd be better off staying at one of the numerous and probably newer hotels within walking distance.

3. There are othe hotels right by the basketball arena or right on Beale Street and they are definitely newer but It would have been too much for us.

7. I have since discovered that there are better rooms in a newer part of the hotel, why they continue to put guests in the older/shabbier rooms which will invariabley lead to complaints is beyond me.
