1. For the cost of this hotel, you would expect a little better soundproofing.
"Nice stay, just make sure and get a room some distance from the elevator " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/15/2012 Vote
2. The service was good, better than I expected it to be.
""Very nice Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/27/2012 Vote
3. If you have never been to Memphis, there is a trolley system running back and forth on main street, right In between the convention center and the Marriott, so my advice book another property down the street and ride the trolley to your convention, and avoid the Marriott, it's just not worth the cost, you would have better luck in a Hampton in, and about half the cost as well.
"Well...... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/20/2012 Vote
4. Again, if this were a 1 or 2 star hotel, I would be more understanding but I have honestly had better luck with 1 or 2 star hotels than this one.
"Not at all what I expected " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/5/2011 Vote
5. The morning service was ok at best---seemed like the room was quickly made up, trash cans were not emptied (not that we had much trash); evening serivce was better--in fact, it seemed like that individual took care of some of the work the morning housekeeper did not, like cleaning out the trash.
"Not a Bad Hotel, But For Tourists, There Might be Better Locations " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/2/2011 Vote
6. A good part of downtown Memphis apperas to have seen better days, and while I was ok walking those 10 blocks during the day, there is no way I would do it at night.
"Not a Bad Hotel, But For Tourists, There Might be Better Locations " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/2/2011 Vote
7. The toiletries were rubbish, one expects better from the Marriott group, at least other ones I have stayed in have felt worth the expense.
"What a shame " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/2/2011 Vote
8. When I went to the front desk, I explained to the staff that they might want to clean that room better and that there was even a bug- roach like shadow in the light fixture above the shower.
"Marriot - Nightmare " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/29/2011 Vote
9. The Hotel bar is small and the service could have been better.
"Typical Marriott " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/23/2011 Vote
10. Beal Street is accessible via the trolley which stops right outside, but if you're really in town to see the sights you'd be better off staying at one of the numerous and probably newer hotels within walking distance.
"Nice stay for a convention " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/29/2011 Vote
