1. The Westin in LAX is an airport hotel, however there is a standard of service, cleanliness and general layout which makes you feel good about your night there.

5. Definitely hear the airplanes coming in for landings but didn't disturb our evening's sleep nor did I feel the need to wear ear plugs, room well insulated from general noise, besides it was fun watching all the flights coming in at night, brought back many memories for us.

Normally, I would have rated this hotel a four because of the amentities (health club, heated pool, restaurant onsite, general appearance), but it's not in the best neighborhood, so you need to drive to a restaurant if you don't want to eat at the hotel, and it was noisy (ask for a higher floor).
