1. like the fact that you can go any where you want in the city.

2. The rooms were HOT and the AC/Heat didn't work, the Continental breakfast was really bad and for some reason when I was there the fire alarm kept going off in the middle of the night (which is most likely a fluke and they comped our parking because of it, but it wasn't fun).

3. I went around the block trying to look for a decent place to eat or order my food from, but found it hard to believe that near a bug hotel like that, there was one fast food store (Happy pizza) and a Chinese take out place.

6. It is valet parking, only, and I'm of the opinion that it's a much safer option than self-park in a city like Detroit.

7. like it or not, Detroit is a city with crime (lots of crime) and while this hotel IS in one of the nicer areas, it's still in Detroit.

8. like the reviewer below, I also stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for DEMF with my cousin, having traveled over from Milwaukee.
