1. Our room service breakfast arrived the next morning as ordered, timely and wow, what generous portions (they offer the XV breakfast for free with the american express fine hotel amenity.

3. I was greeted by name, warmly welcomed back by the doorman and front desk reception every time I passed through the lobby, and had the pleasure of speaking to the general Manager upon check out- and met her amazing dog, the 'mascot' of the hotel.

8. I will say that one of the things I most loved was the fresh apples & oranges decorating the hallways but my favorite parts were all the personal touches, general Manager Amy Finsilver and her staff go the extra mile to make sure their guests experience is the best it can be.

The staff are not only discreet and gracious but intelligent (the latter being critical for me as I travel with medication that must be properly stored/refrigerated); I adore the historic charm of the building and its modern but warm renovation; the privacy of this small hotel makes it feel like home only better, especially with the rainforest showerhead and most especially with the general manager's magnificent Bernese Mountain dog, who greeted me in the lobby upon my arrival.
