1. We found the location to be excellent, there were multiple & frequent buses into the city centre from virtually outside the front door & the walk to Fisherman's Market was not difficult.

2. other than ipad in the lobby safe didn't work very slight shaking of the bed (due to machinery somewhere) very annoying no way of opening the window no answer to letter of complaint?GOOD: location + the view of the Golden Gate Bridge parking if you need it the beds; excellent the towels; excellent clean room San Franciso.

9. As we were only there for about ten minutes, Expedia, which is generally excellent, did the right thing and gave us a refund, which was great, but they should not be selling packages for this hellhole to anyone.

10. And what did we do to deserve all this? Looking for a slightly (and believe me, only `slightly') better deal on accommodations in a very pricey part of town? My wife and I called another hotel (an excellent Comfort Inn two block toward the wharf) and checked out of the 'Heritage House of Horrors' right away.
