1. A decent hotel if you just want to sleep and nothing else.

2. I've heard a few reviews say that it's situated in a rough area, but my cousin who's a cop and has friends who patrol the Sutter Street area says it's pretty decent and safe, not perfectly clean but bearable.

4. 5 years back in the 90's and unfortunately some things haven't changed: in some of the neighborhoods and certainly this one, there are a lot of rough-looking people out on the streets at night and while many of them are decent people, some of them can be quite aggressive, obnoxious and downright scary.

10. I should mention that, there is a decent breakfast included with the room, and it is served in what looks like an old ballroom with a stunning stained glass ceiling on the first floor behind the front desk.
