The concierge suggested another restaurant to me but on reviewing the place on the Internet, i found that it was nothing at all
like
what i had asked for.

For the most part, the concierge and receptionist team was very helpful except for one who I felt
like
was not listening to me.

like
some of the other reviewers, I found the comforter on my bed to be too thin, and there were no other blankets left in the room.

If you are sick and tired of having a dinner based off 'cuisine' and would
like
a 'normal' meal, the Prescott Hotel is only a few blocks from Union Square and the Cheese Cake Factory.

Not a big deal, but little touch ups
like
rusty shower curtain rods and fixing the bubbling paint in the bathroom would boost the overall experience of the room.

Upon entrance to our room 603, I was less than thrilled, but was reminded by my girlfriend that this was a boutique hotel and not a modern facility
like
I am accustomed to.

I
liked
the 'old' charm and feel of the place - it lended to the visit to San Fran.

Since I prefer stairs to elevators, I loved the open interior stairway(usually feel
like
I'm in a concrete bunker).

Our third floor room was spacious enough, had a comfortable bed with white linens, modern bath with thick towels and expected four star amenities
like
great flat screen TV plus choice of five different newspapers in the morning.

If you are used to very modern high rise hotels
like
a Hilton, it may not be for you, but we loved the older building with period charm.
