1. I am HUGE fan of the Kimpton hotels, but this was a very disappointing property.

My view is that, the lowering of its prices (see earlier review by couple who stayed for $100 per night including parking and breakfast) can only be a recognition by Management that the hotel is in decline and due to some of the negative comments made on sites such as TA about the deterioration of the fabric of the hotel that it has to do this to sell rooms as SF is still hugely attractive to travellers, even in these difficult times.

9. I`m not sure which rooms those people were provided---maybe they saved the lesser hotel rooms for people from California =) In any event, the 4 circles on tripadvisor is misleading, which was a huge disappointment for me.
