5. Over-zealous house-keepers can be bothersome if you linger in your room, but they keep the place spotless, and the double-glass windows (that open) do their best to shut out street noise.

8. It is a city centre hotel so it is not a tranquil setting but its proximity to shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and the best of what San Fran can offer that we did not mind.
