1. Unlike New York, cabs aren't that plentiful, and often we'd find ourselves walking home from a night out.

2. Yes, there is no coffee machine in the room -- but sometimes I think that's a plus factor -- there are plenty of places around the hotel to get a good cup of coffee.

9. There are plenty of small pharmacy/grocery stores within a couple of blocks downhill towards the shopping centres, its certainly cheaper to buy breakfast and coffee than at the hotel.

10. It is in a very good location so we didn't hire our car until we left San Francisco which I would recommend, you have no need for one in the City as the cable cars are close by and there are plenty of cabs.
