5. As we were leaving for the evening we finally had to ask them and were told they forgot and our welcome gift is a chocolate bar but that there were no upgrades available? So I passed on the candy and when I looked online and there were plenty of suites available? This is typical of some other lower end Starwood properties but I would expect better from St Regis.

6. We are supposed to get a welcome gift and a room upgrade when we check in (if available) and although these items may seem trivial we have come to expect them.

7. The hotel's indoor pool was warm & very inviting (open 24/7), room service was efficient & the hotel staff made us feel very welcome.

9. Upon checking in we were welcomed and the person who checked us in (I wish I rememberd his name because he was excellent) acknowledged our anniversary and offered us a room upgrade to a higher floor.

10. My flight was delayed and I arrived at the hotel past midnight - check-in was fast and seamless and when I entered my room there was a welcome note from the Director of Catering as well as a snack of cheese and crackers and sparkling water waiting for me.
