We were skeptical about the lack of a pool with 3 kids between the ages of 2 and 8 but being located literally on the same block as a museum, a park, an historic site a not one but 2 Starbucks (great for an inexpensive morning breakfast) we were out and about exploring the area all our waking hours.

8. Pier 39 is about 10 minutes walk away which has a great collection of little shops and restaurants, plus the boat for Alcatraz is also nearby (make sure you book in advance as it gets very busy.
