3. Fishermans Wharf was a fun area of the city, I always like to stay near the sea as I live near it at home.

5. If you want a 'fun touristy experience' but still looking for more upscale without having to base yourself around Union Square in order to find it -- I recommend this hotel highly.

7. If your goal is to wander the Wharf and take advantage of all that area has to offer, the Argonaut is the best place to stay due to a fun, clean, and upscale atmosphere.

8. Pier 39 is great fun with so much choice of eating and slightly better tourist shopping than the kiss.
