6. I am a big fan of the Thompson Hotel chain - they recently took over the SAX - it isn't necessarily as new/fresh as some of the other Thompson hotels I've stayed at but I would recommend it.

8. It appears as if many of the rooms were being remodeled (did have to complain of early am noise due to this), but not a big enough deal for the value we received.

9. My friend's daughter was disappointed there was no pool; for that, though, I think you need a bigger chain and less of a boutique hotel, especially in a big city like Chicago.
