1. generally speaking, the accommodations for conferences tend to run towards mid-level properties but the hotels make up for it by putting the business guests in decent rooms.

3. The hotel itself is quite dark (in a good way) and stylish - the lobby can get very busy at times so be prepared to wait, but the service in general (including the concierge and free plane ticket print-outs) is great.

5. They also told me that different people have different thresholds for cold (which I generally agree) but not when it is 35F outside.

9. We've been on a number of occasions to NY previously and found other hotels generally of a better standard than the Shelburne.

10. In general, Comfortable rooms, love the little reading lights on the beds so if one person wants to sleep the other can still read.
