1. There are shops near by so buy snacks there and there's a starbucks a few blocks away which is brilliant .

4. The roof top garden 2 floors up was also just brilliant and my two children who are mid twenties just enjoyed the whole buzz of the place.

6. The location of the hotel was brilliant - just about 5 mins from Grand Central Station, 5th Avenue, Empire State Building etc so plenty of scope for exploring on foot.

7. Best of all, there was a brilliant little coffee shop next door (Lucid) which served consistently great espresso - we had been told by other Australians it was impossible to get good coffee in NY, not so.
