1. When we arrived at the hotel we were met with friendly staff, i asked if we could have a room with a view, no problem but the only one they had was on the 32nd floor which was a smoking one but was told that we could try it and if we were not happy they would make sure that we get the next available room with a view.

The restaurant is not open at night for dinner because as the hotel staff explained, there are so many restaurants in New York that people living in the hotel were out exploring the city and therefore it wasn't economical to open at night, We were happy to eat out and come back to the bar every night for a nightcap before retiring to bed.

7. We were given a room in the tower with the pool attached, an upgrade from our original room for no other reason then the fact that the gentleman at the desk was friendly, happy gentleman.

After walking around the area ,we were happy with the location,its in a nice clean street with a 24 hour deli and a fruit stall on the corner, its a nice walk to the other more hectic parts of Manhattan, and if you wander around the local area, there a few nice delis and bars, and it feels like you are mingling with real New Yorkers,not just tourists.
