7. I often stay in midtown New York for work and got a decent rate at the Hotel Mela on Priceline during a week when hotel rates were sky high.

Now the grumbles:I've stayed in hotels all over, some with and some without wifi, however this hotel advertises that it has free wifi, but without a doubt its the worst wifi i've ever used it was rare to connect and even rarer to get any decent speed, i find it more frustrating having wifi and not being able to use it than not having it all, i did of course try other locations in the hotel including standing underneath a router and sitting the foyet but no joy, so I found myself sitting in bryant park more often as they have free wifi.

9. 3 doors away from a subway, great for cheap breakfast1 min walk past several bars to times square,room medium size, nice bed, decent tv, mini bar ( move a item and ur charged)bathroom very nice, hotel very clean, ice avalable, and free airport pc useage, (to print of tickets etc)they took $50 deposir of card, and it was returned 7 days after i got home.
