1. The latter have a small porch at the back which is nice if you like to sit out early morning or late evening, but it does cut into the size of the room, so I would plug for the upper storey and sit out in the open air breakfast area or around the pool.

3. I liked the fact that it is a little remote from the town (an easy drive but not an easy walk) to keep the noise level down and keep it more intimate.

8. There was a great cross through breeze in our room so I didn't need to use the air, and even with the windows open all night it was so quiet we slept like babies and the hotel was fully booked.
