First the good:--great location--easy access to many restaurants at all price points--beach is gorgeous and not very crowed--Kauai itself is amazing with moutains and ocean--room with ocean view was large, well laid out (especially the bathroom) with a good sized deck--when it is done, the new restaurant will have an awesome settingThe sad--in spite of assurances, construction was not done and will not be done for several more weeks.

5. I agree with some reviewers, the Hyatt is GORGEOUS, and pool awesome, but it's considerably more expensive and you can't swim at their beach.
