1. The flatscreen tv on the wall is great, except you can knock it off the wall as you walk round the bed.

4. The rate we got was EXCEPTIONAL for NYC but was also low season, we stayed there for 7 nights at a rate of between $69-$89 before tax for a double room.

5. If those exceptions don't matter, everything about this small, Upper West Side hotel is comfortable, exceedingly clean, inviiting and cozy, and in an easy location away from the hubbub of tourist areas (especially if you know the city).

6. Parking is an issue as it is everywhere in NYC but we were able to find parking directly in front of the hotel (by luck) and never moved the vehicle again (except for street cleaning).
